Günther, whose full name is Günther Pontus Karlsson, is a Swedish musician known for his dance-pop and Eurodance music. The music is characterized by its upbeat and infectious dance beats and often humorous and risqué lyrics. His music videos frequently featured colourful and over-the-top visuals that complemented the playful nature of his songs.
Although he's Swedish, Günther always stays in character and speaks English with a thick German accent during interviews and live shows. This event in Gothenburg, Sweden was no exception.
MUSIC CAREER // Günther rose to international prominence in the early 2000s with hit singles Ding Dong Song, also called You Touch My Tralala. The song gained significant attention due to its catchy tune and provocative lyrics. It became a viral sensation and even charted in several countries.
In 2014, Günther released the single I'm not Justin Bieber, Bi**h which garnered some new fans.
To this date, the 2004 effort "Pleasure Man" is Günther's only full-length album, which includes the aforementioned single Ding Dong Song.
Despite not achieving sustained mainstream success, Günther remains a cult figure in the dance music scene, particularly among fans of Eurodance and cheesy pop music. His music is often associated with nostalgia for the early 2000s.

In the summer of 2022, Günther performed at the '00s revival event "We Love the 2000s", along with contemporary acts like Wyclef Jean, Kate Ryan and Bomfunk MC's.
